Imagine being a kid and your parents tell you that you’re going on a fun trip to nyc. You get there and everything is fun and happy and the the first plane hits, then the second plane hits and then building collapses. You start too run from the smoke but get separated from your parents in the wave of people running for their lives. What do you think they felt? It must have been so terrifying.

my mom worked there and I thought she was dead. I was 9. I was at school when they told us and I couldn’t breathe. I was screaming and crying. It felt like a movie. My friend in my class’s father passed, but I was lucky that my mom was late for work that day because she was at an atm cashing a child support check from my father. Those few hours of not knowing if I had a mother or not changed the trajectory of my life forever. And she lost a lot of close friends that day. I remember the months that followed of her mourning. I’m glad this woman made it out alive. It seemed like that day was polarizing- everyone either has a story about how lucky they were because they were doing something out of the ordinary or listening to someone who they never spoke to, or unlucky, and ultimately died.

My friends boss tried to block the door so they could not leave the second building after they watched the first one get hit..her and her coworkers made him move..they barely survived.

My mom’s co worker said she had never called in sick before and the only time she did was when 9/11 happened. If she didn’t call in she could’ve died.

So imagine you are working in a tall building and the adjacent sister building, which is 130 feet away, is on fire with people jumping to their deaths and splattering near the lobby of your building, and someone gets on the loud speaker and says “don’t worry, go back to work, your building is secure.” I still can’t fathom why anyone would think that is a good idea.

I remember that day and watching it unfold and said they need to evacuate the other tower. Then I heard stories they were telling people to stay in their offices. Shameful.

The comments saying it was greed and heartless to tell the people in the South tower to go back to their offices are clearly made people too young to clearly remember 9/11 or they were not alive then. Anyone who witnessed 9/11 in the moment, whether in person or on tv understands why those announcements were made. We still cringe at the outcome, but we don't really place the blame on the ones who told them to go back to their offices.

I can't imagine what it felt like to be those people who got in the elevator cuz they were told to go to work and the went in the elevator to their death or to gst trapped in the elevator

For some reason now at 33 it hits harder now knowing this all happened when I was 9. We all saw thousands of people die on live tv…as a kid.

The message about 9/11 at the end she said she everyone goes through loss. I had been in that tower many times in happy times for work events and I always felt the majestic city below me-it was magical. In all our lives there are times sometimes we need to make a decision on instinct and I have saved my own life a couple of times. I always think of all the people who were there on 9-11-2001 what saved them and this video was so empowering to learn how this beautiful soul coped with her decisions that day.

She was never there that day ….. her MySpace account shows she was in D.R. On vacation …. And she didn’t work in the building she worked for a company that was doing business in the World Trade Center … her story is completely bullish
